Why We're Moving Our Clients from Vercel to Coolify
October 11, 2026

Why Altarion Systems is moving client websites from Vercel to self-hosted Coolify, for more control, transparency and predictable costs.
We are moving our clients' websites from Vercel to Coolify, a self-hosted deployment platform running on our own servers. We are about 80% of the way there, and the rest will follow in the coming weeks.
Credit where it's due
Vercel is an excellent platform. It made deployment simple, kept our clients' sites fast, and let a small team ship like a big one. A good part of where Altarion Systems is today, we owe to building on it.
Why we're moving anyway
As we grew, two things mattered more to us: control and transparency. We wanted to see and shape every layer our clients' sites run on, not just the parts a platform exposes.
Cost was the other pressure. As some clients' traffic grew, their data transfer and usage costs went through the roof. Usage-based pricing that felt generous early on became hard to predict and harder to keep up with. We did not want our clients' success to become a cost problem.
Why Coolify
Coolify gives us the freedom to run sites on infrastructure we own and size ourselves. Deployments still happen straight from Git, SSL is automatic, and every project sits in one dashboard. Costs are predictable, and nothing is locked to a single vendor.
More than that, it lets us be who we are. We describe ourselves as a company that builds the systems businesses run on. Running those systems ourselves, end to end, is part of keeping that promise.
For our clients, the change is meant to be invisible: the same fast sites, with steadier costs and a team that controls the whole stack.
